So needless to say I woke up with a headache this morning and had a ton of stuff to do like errands, grocery shopping, cleaning, etc. For breakfast I had the same thing as yesterday, minus the banana because we were all out:
Then we walked Jack to the other end of the neighborhood to buy some Scoopies, these environmentally-friendly plastic glove-shaped bags that we use to, you guessed it, scoop shit. After, I ate this last Z Bar because we had to go to Trader Joe’s and that takes about two hours on a good day:
It didn’t matter, though, because by the time we left the grocery store I felt like I might be starving to death, so I had to eat half of this Clif bar:
This kind is really good if you like toffee; we got a bunch of the peanut crunch chocolate chip too, which is really my favorite, but I’m a little bared out at the moment.
When I was in the deli line at that other grocery store we go to, because TJ’s doesn’t sell things like Sun Chips and American cheese and Morningstar Farms Grillers Prime, which are essentials in Chris’s life, I saw these square whole wheat wrap things and decided to impulse buy them. For lunch, I made one into a pizza:
Doesn’t it look good?? It was a little soggy. I think it needed to cook longer but I am impatient.
Then I cleaned like a champion, gave myself a little buzz from too much Tilex and not enough ventilation, went on another walk, and ate some grapes:
And then, I made the best thing for dinner: a Mexican tofu scramble!
I’m posting the recipe, which I made up so it’s really easy. It’s also really filling – I couldn’t eat all of this.
Okay, then after dinner we had about half a bottle of wine left from another night, so I had part of a glass, but wasn’t really feeling it after last night so I didn’t finish it.
But I am eating about a tablespoon of chocolate chips right now:
I’ve seen those whole wheat wrap things at the grocery store too– pizza is a great idea for them!
Ahh, sorry about the headache :0( But at least you still managed to have a productive Sunday!!
Oooh, that pizza DOES look good; and those grapes!!! **swoons**
Your pizza looks AMAZING. Who needs pizza dough when there’s wraps??
I LOVE toffee – I will have to try that Clif guy!!
Mmmm… that Cliff bar (along w/ pb chocolate chip) is one of my favorites!
Your pizza looks so crisp & delicious 🙂 I’d never know it was a wrap!
I’ve tried those wraps I think… called Roll-Ups right? They are pretty good… i find that I can’t put a lot of sauce on the tortilla pizzas, cause they just fall apart!
Your tofu scramble sounds good though…I’ve never made a tofu scramble…mainly because I like tofu plain, and tofu with scrambled egg like toppings just always seemed weird to me…but if it’s mexican style, I bet I might like that!
Haha Arielle, this seems like the most organized post of all your meals that you have ever made! I like it!
Have a great evening, and great week!
i guess i’m going to have to try that clif bar cause i love toffee? do you know if it has caffine, cause i don’t do well with caffine. weird, i know. the flavor sounds so good though that I might have to suck it up and take one for the team, and break out in crazy jitters for the rest of the day from the caffine.
Sounds like a great day with some fun filled food. Mmm.
Trader Joe’s DOES take forever. Too bad it is entirely worth it. haha.
chocolate chips are my favorite snack. for some reason i can eat like 8 of them and be satisfied but i cant just have half of a hersheys bar. THEY ARE THE SAME THING.
One time i scrubbed by bathroom with soft scrub with bleach and then realized i had been sitting in the bathtub for a few minutes staring at the lines in the floor. I sat outside for a bit after that.
Tina –
They are pretty good, and they scream pizza.
VeggieGirl –
It was productive. I forced myself 🙂
Romina –
Exactly. Although pizza dough, if you have time, is much better, I must say.
Kath –
It’s really, really good. I love toffee too!
Lindz –
It was crisp on the edges. I think we have the same taste in bars. I want to try the cinnamon larabar.
Emma –
I think they are called Roll-ups. I’m not a big tofu scramble person either (I don’t really like scrambled eggs, either) but I’ll eat anything mexican and this was good.
Betsy –
It does have caffeine – green tea. I’m not sure how much but I doubt it would be much – I think it’s probably mostly marketing hype. Also, I just had to go look at the wrapper to find that out, and the other half is in there, and so of course I had to take a bite and now I have less for next time. Thanks a lot 🙂
Cara –
Tj’s is an experience for sure. Is it crowded everywhere? I always thought it was because we only have one.
Kelly –
That’s true. Hershey bars are kind of weird, I think. They make my mouth hurt. Maybe I’m kind of weird. The fumes.
that pizza looks delicious!
Because of all your rave reviews of clif bars I actually bought some. Big deal for me because if something sounds like it is supposed to be healthy I run the other way. But I’m hoping they will solve my dilemma of needing dinner on the go on the days I have class right after work.
