I made this for dinner again, except this time I kind of forgot to look at the recipe halfway through and just started throwing things together. I have a bad habit of doing that, but it turned out fine:
Once again, I would like to tell you that I am in love with these bread crumbs. So in love, in fact, that I ate some with a spoon while I was performing the necessary dredging of the tofu. My only complaint is that they’re not whole wheat.
Now I’m drinking wine in celebration of Obama and the fact that tomorrow is Jack’s birthday! He’ll be one. I imagine that at midnight, this strange sense of calm will come over him and he’ll no longer be interested in chewing up my flip flops and peeing when he gets excited.

Looks like a great meal to me!
Wishing Jack an early happy birthday!!!
I’m glad you made this again, because I had totally forgotten about it.
I got one of Heidi Swanson’s cookbooks when I was on vacation. It’s really pretty. I have yet to actually make any of the recipes in it, though. It’s kind of fancy.
Looks great!!!
And don’t have so many expectations on Jack. That’s what we were hoping with my female lab, andit’s been 3 years, and I can assure you, it only gets funnier from now on.
So lookingforward to Obama’s speech… A bit nervous for him though… Hoping Security is TOP NOTCH!!!
Happy Early Birthday to the Jackster!
(PS) Just to ease your mind (or maybe perhaps not…), Buddha = 1 year + 3 months and nuttier than ever… But still OH SO cuddly and cute. I’m thinking my mindset will always HAVE to be, “But he’s still just a puppy!” (Not a very good disciplinarian
)
And your dinner looks A.Mazing!!! Heidi = Seriously goood Kitchen Karma!
All of her recipes ALWAYS come out so well! Love that woman for that! ha
Please let me know what happens at midnight.
My Jack is three and hasn’t gotten over the peeing and inappropriate footwear eating. But you can hope…
Happy Birthday, Jack!
Happy birthday to Jack! Your dinner looks delicious
I must say, I am also guilty of starting out with recipe intentions and then just tossing things in and mixing it up. But when things turn out well, its all good, right?
Buddy (my pup) is 3…and he still pees when he gets excited. Good luck w/ Jack! and Happy Birthday to him!
ahah that is what I was hoping with my dog, but now he is over 2 and still pretty crazy. haha. I guess he has calmed down a little bit…. but not what I expected, or rather HOPED for. haha. Good thing they are cute though right
I’m of the “read a recipe and try to follow it while throwing in other yummy things along the way” variety also. What kind of greens do you use?
go Obama!
that tofu looks SO GOOD. I’m making tofu right now…which is a good thing, because yours made me crave it even more.
happy Friday Arielle!
I have you on my blogroll list. If that is not ok please let me know at rhodeygirltests at gmail dot com!
thanks, and happy friday!!!!

Looks nummy – I might have to attempt cooking tofu myself.
haha, I was just going to write a comment saying that good luck with Jack, but not likely….but I guess everyone else had the same idea
Baylee’s now 15 months and no such luck. When she was 6 months and I was going crazy, people told us when she turns 3 it’ll get so much better. OH, no problem, only 2 1/2 more years?!?!?!? Like it’s no big deal!
VG –
Thanks!

Meg –
It’s really easy.
Melissa –
Yeah, really. I’m not sure I’ll make it.
Your dinner looks amazing! That’s such a great recipe, definitely one of my favorites.
[...] It as good, but it didn’t rock my face off, like I expected it to. Though, to be fair, I think I did something wrong, because I feel like it looked a lot better when Arielle made it. [...]
