We went and got some groceries when Chris got home from work, thank god, and I made taco salads:
It looks huge, I know. That’s because it is. I ate it all. It has a black bean/cumin/chili powder/cayenne mixture, lots of lettuce, bell peppers, corn, cheddar cheese, avocado, tomatoes, red onions, salsa, lime juice and Trader Joe’s white corn chips, which are very cleverly shaped like long boards. Chris’s also had the added bonus of a tupperware lid at the bottom of his bowl. How I didn’t notice it was there, I have no idea, but luckily it was rather large so he didn’t choke.
After, I had an ice cream sandwich:

Too funny about the tupperware. I’m glad you were able to consume so whole foods this evening, the taco salad looks good. Trader Joe’s has chips in the shape of long boards.. learn something new everyday!
Looks good. The tupperware at the bottom of his bowl, too funny!
I totally need to make myself a taco salad, i’ve never had one!!
Haha… I’ve done stuff like that too. I dropped a spoon into a pasta sauce once and forgot it was there. Bad idea.
I make my taco salad with home made taco seasoning and the Morningstar veggie crumbles.
It comes out great and all you need for dressing is a little freshly squeezed lime juice.
I usually like to use a little sprinkle of cat hair in my salads but now I’m dying to try the tupperware!
You’re so creative!
ballsy to take the paper plate picture. i thought that was against foodie law. thats why i try and stay away from the food posts- i usually skip plates all together.
i had a taco salad last night. except it was from a restaurant so it was 8 times as big as that and precisely 30 times as bad for me. and i loved every second of it.
what kind of salsa is that? it looks great.
one time i found the tip of a plastic glove in my soup at a restaurant. that has nothing really to do with finding tupperware at the bottom of your bowl, but i just always like telling that story because it’s so awful.
love love love taco salad!

I wouldn’t hunt them down…they taste like regular old baked tortilla chips.

I’m a little spacey I guess.
Romina –
Never? It’s so fast, I love it. What happened to your blog by the way???
Crissy –
You should have added the cat hair to your lasagna for that homemade factor.
Kelly –
It’s actually not a paper plate, just a white bowl. Does look like one though. Taco salads at restaurants are way better, it’s true.

It’s the roasted something or other from Trader Joe’s? Roasted tomato maybe? I can’t remember and it’s all gone. I’ll check next time I go. And that is disgusting.
Adria –
It’s good stuff.
