So last night, there was some drinking. Champagne, of course, because I’m classy. And then, Chris convinced me to make those evil no bake cookies again.
And so I made 1/4 of the recipe, like usual. Except somehow, someway, I DIDN’T EAT ANY. I have no idea where I found this willpower, but I hope it sticks around.
Of course that means that Chris ate it all:
I took this picture right after he said, “I can’t believe I’m eating all of this. I’m disgusting. It’s like I just got dumped by my girlfriend.”
This is the kind of thing that needs to be documented on the Internet for the world to see, don’t you think?
Anyway, I did end up eating half of a Z Bar a little later:
And then today, well, that was every bit as exciting. I did laundry, cleaned the apartment, bought Jack a new collar, and watched about seven episodes of Sex and The City. During which, I had the other half of the Z Bar:
And the end of a bag of Sun Chips. It was about five chips and some scraps:
And I also had a Corona because it was a HOT day here in Brooklyn and I needed some refreshment:
And then I made this fabulous dinner that involved intricately stacked eggplant, zucchini, pesto, fresh mozzarella, balsamic vinegar, spinach and tomatoes. You’ll have to trust me on this because I forgot to take a picture. I know you believe me.
Now, I’m probably going to eat an ice cream sandwich and watch The Next Food Network Star while lamenting the fact that, once again, I am not in the running. Sigh.

Gotta love it when the boyfriend eats all the baked goods and you have the willpower to resist. Double high five since it was after drinking. OH.. and an update on the z-bar taste test. I’ve tried the chocolate chip flavor now, it’s my favorite thus far. I still have yet to taste the honey graham flavored one. I may be late on this, but I just found out today that they have apple cinnamon and blueberry flavors as well.
Your dinner sounds FABULOUS!!! I’m envisioning it :0)
I’m SOOOO excited for the premiere for ‘The Next Food Network Star’ – whoo hoo!!
haha who doesn’t love those random [and RARE] moments of will power in the face of dessert? And having a boy around to help remove the source of temptation before the willpower goes away doesn’t hurt either!
Wow~that must have been quite a colorful veggie stack! Eggplant, zucchini, tomatoes, and mozzarella? It sounds dreamy!
gooooo corona
i cant wait for the next food network star!
your dinner sounds really yummy! doesn’t the warm weather make you crave beer ever the more? it does me.
Like he was dumped by his girlfriend.. ha! Those no-bakes sounds just as good as ice cream anyway!
Sounds like a fun day!

I didn’t know about those other flavors! I might try blueberry.

Man, I missed it. I thought it was at 9, not 10. Ten is a little late for me. That’s sad.
