Well, consider my summer officially started. Last night we went with a bunch of friends to my favorite cheap Mexican place, Mary Ann’s, to sit outside and drink margaritas. I have had many embarrassing moments after one too many of Mary Ann’s margaritas, which you can get in huge pint glasses:
I’m not sure what Chris is doing there.
I also had some of the guacamole, chips, and vegetable fajitas.
Then we went to another bar for a beer, and headed home because I’m old and also I was lugging my stupid laptop around from my Genius Bar appointment. By the way, my Genius looked EXACTLY LIKE John Travolta, which was cool, and he also gave me a new battery and a whole new keyboard. Apparently I press too hard on the keys.
You’re all thinking I have Man Hands right now. I know it.
Yesterday afternoon consisted of figs:
And a Z Bar that I grabbed on my way out the door:
And when I got home from dinner, I had a rather generous handful of chocolate chips. Oops. Chris was eating this huge Nana’s chocolate chip cookie and I just couldn’t handle the temptation. No photo, sorry.
Alright, gotta do some errands and take the pup to the park.

Wow, that’s a huge margarita. I’d be gone in 3 minutes… haha.
Mary Ann’s sounds like a fun Mexican restaurant, for sure!!
Ahh, the return of the infamous, delicious figs ;0)
Have fun with Jack, in the park!
I love you blog: margaritas and chocolate chip cookies? you are my hero!
i bet it was john travolta. maybe he’s trying to recruit people to scientology via the apple store. you never know.
mary ann’s is right by my apt, however, i’ve never been
. i’m uber lame, i know.
this has NOTHING to do with this post, but some recent ones:
-last night i went to this annoying super cheesy restaurant (not my choice) and there was a bathroom attendant who actually had removed all the paper towels from the dispensers so you had no option but to get one from her!
-re: Jim/Pam and the Office – My husband did the exact same fakeout twice to me on the day he proposed before he actually did it. It was pretty funny. But now after that episode he thinks he’s the coolest ever. Boys.
Dude, you are making me want to buy figs and I don’t even like them …
Those margaritas look awesome….I want one (some).
Hehe there are so many bloggers it’s hard to keep all our names straight! I don’t expect you to remember my real name (Katie)… just as long as you remember that I am the girl who writes a blog devoted to hot banana men and chocolate-covered meatballs… apparently ;o).
I am the biggest fan of Z bars AND dried figs, so I think your snack choices are genius!
Sounds like a fantastic night! mmm margarita’s are the best.
I am glad your computer is back in order. I was told I was a hard typer as well.
Romina –
Yeah. One time I had two and fell asleep at the bar. Now I stick to one.
VeggieGirl –
It is! Summertime favorite.
Alice –
Thanks! Maybe two of the best things ever.
Betsy –
Yeah, like those people at 34th Street who give out free “stress tests.” I am APPALLED that you have not been to Mary Ann’s. I will take you there. Do you like guacamole? Because it is pretty much the best ever.
Rebecca –
That kind of bathroom attendant behavior should be illegal. That’s funny about your husband. I really thought he was going to ask, my heart was pounding and everything. I can only imagine if it was my real life.
Linds –
They really are. But you only want one. Trust me on this.
Katie –
I am just a little slow, is all.
Cara –
Isn’t that a weird thing? Like I don’t think I type hard at all. I think it’s because I work with my computer on my lap, not at a desk, and so I put all the pressure on it. Or something. Basically it’s a piece of shit.
Mmmm.. cheap Mexican food.. =D AND margaritas!
