I added paprika to my smoothie today by mistake. I thought it was cinnamon. Because, you know, they look the same, except that paprika is red and cinnamon is brown.
Anyway, it tasted pretty good actually, so really I’m a genius. This is how recipes are created, you know.
I also had some yogurt, figs and flax this afternoon:
I would say that I am a-okay on my dairy intake today. I might have to have broccoli and lettuce for dinner to even things out a little.

Have you tried flaxseed in your smoothies? I’ve heard good things, but I haven’t taken the plunge.

I love sprinkling ground flax on fruit, and putting it in smoothies – yum!
I was making pumpkin yogurt one day and I almost added cayenne pepper instead of cinnamon! That would have sucked. Glad you liked your smoothie!!

There is flax in it! And also a banana, some milk, peanut butter, cinnamon, ice and 1/2 scoop of protein powder. And the paprika. I might leave that out though. It’s creamy because of the protein powder. Try it, it does taste like a milkshake.

I don’t think I would add it again. It wasn’t that good. But it didn’t ruin my lunch, which is good.
Do you have a favorite brand of nonfat plain yogurt? I’m crossing my fingers that you do and that it is less pricey than Fage. Your yogurt always looks good enough to make me go dish up a bowl… but then I’m out of yogurt for the week by Tuesday. Willpower and I don’t get along.
