I feel like I’ve just been eating all day long. Mostly because I have been. I was so hungry when I got home from the gym this morning, so I made some scrambled eggs. But then I realized I was out of the meatless sausage patties I usually have with them, so I was forced to eat the leftover potatoes from last night. Cold. With ketchup. Just the way I like them. It was awesome. No picture, sorry. It was a private moment between my potatoes and I.
Then I went to a meeting that was catered by Cosi. I. Love. Their. Bread. I had half of a mozzarella, tomato and basil sandwich, carrots, salad, and fruit. Put me right into a food coma. No idea what happened the rest of the meeting. What I do know is that we ate at 11:30 and by the time I got home at three I was starving again. I had a whole bunch of figs as a snack:
This is just the start of the fig consumption. I probably had about ten. Is that a lot? I lose my senses around these things. I also had a piece of chocolate that’s been floating around in our cabinet for maybe two months. I have no idea how it lasted that long, but the streak is now over.
That blurry thing in the background? Jack’s nose. He tries so hard, but when it comes to chocolate, I’m just too quick for him. He doesn’t realize that it’s for his own good – look how depressed he is:
Okay, have to finish up some work before the weekend. Chris’s mom is coming to visit, which means I probably won’t have a chance to post very much, if at all. I’ll do my best to remember everything on Sunday. I heard she’s bringing peanut butter rice crispy treats, which could be trouble.

10 dried figs have around 210 calories and 6 grams of fiber; and they’re a great source of calcium! you’re good :0)
aww, Jack :0)
have fun with the in-laws!
LOL, your posts crack me up. Jack is so cute!
Okay, I’ve never tried a fig before. Are you eating them fresh or dried?
Your dog is so cute! I have one that looks a lot like him, except he has blue eyes. I love dried figs, too, and dates, and cherries. I love any dried fruit, actually.
You’re hilarous
I just love reading your posts.

You and your post about figs got me curious so I went to our local health food store and got myself some. They are delicious… and addictive.

They are dried. I only had my first one a week or two ago, so I’ve never had fresh but I want to try that, too. The dried are great, give it a try!!
Grace –
Thanks!! I love dried fruit, too. I am going to try a date soon – I’ve never had one!

They do really always stick up like that. It’s really weird – he’s a mutt so I think he got one ear from each breed (pit bull and lab) or something. It’s funny.
Brittany – I warned you! They are so addictive. Try them with the plain yogurt and honey. It’s crazy good.
Lindz – I know – it’s really good warm, have you ever had it like that? This one was cold unfortunately. They definitely don’t fill me up but I can’t stay away from that bread. And now they make it in whole wheat!
